These terms govern your use of LongformHQ, provided by LongformHQ Labs LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. By signing in you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What the service does
LongformHQ is a platform that turns a topic and a channel persona into a long-form AI-generated documentary video. The pipeline is divided into nine stages — script, prompts, images, clips, assembly, voiceover, captions, final render, and publish. After each stage you can approve, regenerate, or reject the output before the next stage runs and consumes more credits.
Outputs are produced by third-party AI providers acting on your inputs. We orchestrate the pipeline and host the result; we do not warrant that any specific output will be accurate, original, suitable for your purpose, or free of bias. See §6 for the AI-content disclaimer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use LongformHQ. By signing up you represent that you have the right to submit the topics, references and assets you provide — that you own them, have licensed them, or are otherwise permitted to use them — and that doing so does not infringe any third party's rights.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LongformHQ to:
- Generate content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or in India.
- Generate defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit content involving minors, or content that incites violence against a person or group.
- Impersonate a real, identifiable person without that person's explicit prior consent — this includes deepfakes, voice clones, and biographical narrations presented as factual.
- Produce content designed to mislead about elections, public health, or other matters of public safety.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Scrape the platform, circumvent rate limits or credit caps, or probe our infrastructure for vulnerabilities except under a written safe-harbour agreement with us.
- Resell, white-label, or repackage the service without a written commercial agreement.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate this section, with or without notice when the violation is severe or ongoing.
4. Ownership of outputs
You own the videos you generate. We claim no ownership over your scripts, images, clips, voiceovers, or final masters and we do not use them to train models. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and serve those outputs back to you for the sole purpose of providing the service.
The third-party providers we route to (OpenAI, Google, xAI, ElevenLabs, Anthropic and others) have their own terms about output ownership and provenance. Those terms apply to you to the extent your outputs originated with them — for example, the requirement to disclose AI-generated content under provider policy or under local law.
5. Credits, billing and refunds
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe in the currency shown at checkout. Each plan grants a monthly credit allowance which resets at the start of every billing cycle. Top-up credits purchased outside a subscription do not expire while the account is active.
- Credits are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer-protection law.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
- When a stage fails for a reason that is our fault (provider outage, infrastructure error, bug), the credits debited for that stage are refunded automatically and the failure is logged in your ledger.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal. Service continues to the end of the current paid period; no prorated refund is issued for the unused portion.
6. AI-generated content disclaimer
LongformHQ produces outputs using statistical models that can hallucinate, confabulate, or otherwise be wrong. You are responsible for fact-checking every output before you publish or otherwise rely on it. Treat the script as a draft, not a source of record. We accept no liability for harm caused by publishing AI-generated content without independent verification.
You agree to disclose AI generation to your viewers where local law, a platform you publish on, or basic honesty requires it — for example, YouTube's altered / synthetic content disclosure, India's draft rules on synthetic media, or the EU AI Act.
7. Termination
You can close your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, abuse of the service, or non-payment after a 14-day grace period. On termination you have 30 days to export your generated content via the Account → Export action before we delete it.
8. Service availability
We provide the service on an as availablebasis. There is no uptime SLA during the private beta. We'll publish a per-component SLA before general availability. The current status of each component is on the status page.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LongformHQ is provided as is and as available, with no express or implied warranties — including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law — including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
10. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of LongformHQ will be resolved by confidential arbitration seated in Bengaluru, Karnataka under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, before a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement (or, failing agreement, by the appointing authority designated by that Act). The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter not subject to arbitration.
11. Changes
We'll notify you of material changes by email and a banner inside the app. Continued use of the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept them you can close your account.
